The teaching contribution that catechists make towards the life and mission of the Church is valued and highly practical. We value and appreciate you for a deeply theological reason. It may seem that the real day-to-day living associated with this ministry is ordinary since we are so accustomed to it. Teaching the faith is one of the major responsibilities of catechists. However, when seen in a broader context, the catechist’s job entails much more than just imparting knowledge; this parish ministry is an essential component of a vast continuum of testimony that can be traced back to the very beginning and into the very heart of the Church.
The role of a Catholic Catechist is to catechize the Faith of the Catholic Church, both by words and example. A Catechist is someone who lets the word of God echo through their life. Catechists do more than simply teach the faith. Catechist shares their faith and guides their students to learn how to apply and live their faith, as well.
